I interviewed with the University of Hawaii over a month ago, and I didn't receive any further communication about my standing, no callback for an on-site interview or the always fun blow-off letter, so I was sure that they decided I was not right for the job and moved on.
Rather than just worrying about my assumption, I followed up with the person in charge of the search, and she let me know that they're still in the process of making a decision, which means I might still be in contention.
So, I still have the slightest glimmer of hope, and I'm starting to come around to the idea of moving all of the way to Hawaii. Let's see what happens.
