My Whirlwind

The last couple of days have been pretty intense, and it doesn't look like things are going to be settling down anytime soon. I guess I should give some context.

I had a phone interview with Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Tuesday, and I had an on-site interview with the University of Texas of the Permian Basin on Wednesday. While I was interviewing at UTPB, I received some calls from A&M-CC and Texas State to set up interviews for next week.

So, next Monday I have an interview with A&M-CC, and then I have another interview on Thursday with Texas State. It's going to be a whirlwind of a week, but it's definitely a good problem to have.

My Fingers are Crossed

A new month (so what if it's the 3rd), and a new job to apply for. Early today I submitted my resume et al for a position at Texas State University, which is the same job I applied for at that school about five months ago. New posting, but same old hoops to jump through. I am excited about the opportunity despite the irritability, and I'm hoping that this one (or anyone for that matter) works out in the end.

The crazy thing is this is like the fourth or fifth Texas State job that I've applied for. Apparently, I'm not getting the hint, but I'm dedicated to wearing them down. Maybe they'll be drawn to my moxie.

So add one more hopeful to the already long list of possible employers, and let's hope that August is kinder than July was.
